I prepared for over a month. I took GRE a year ago, too, and scored 164 in quant and 148 in Verbal.
However this time I was shocked to see quant questions that were difficult at least for me. I got 2 parabola questions, almost 4 permutation and combination questions, and 3 probability questions in total. The first quant set was frustrating and I struggled to focus in my second quant set.
Advice : build your vocabulary skill but do not focus more on it. There were repeated words in all sets such as augment, ameliorate, profligate, mundane, trite, subvert, et cetera. No such words were asked that I did not know. It was easy.
I am not happy with my score but I know GRE is not everything and I do not want it to consume and drain me. I want to thank greg for helping me not just for “this test” but for life in general with all these verbal skills.
