4-6 hours/day on One-Month Study Plan Not Possible

Just started on the One-Month Study Plan, and it expects me to spend 4-6 hours on it, which I am alright with. But going through the material it asks to go through is NOT taking 4-6 hours. It’s taking closer to 8 hours or more. Has anyone else experienced the same? If so, is the two-month plan any slower and less intense?

Anything you suggest not doing in the One-Month Study Plan? I want to do them all because they all seem valuable.

I’m facing same problem but I found solution for it. For me most consuming time was writing down vocab words and going through quant concepts . U have to workhard for 4 or 5days atleast 8hrs/day. Depending on how much your brain can take information.

Step 1 : early morning start with quant, (1 month study plan) Greg Mat task starts with arithmetic , u have to go through ets review guide and understand concept and solve problem and do big book , if u have done anything wrong watch gregmat video . This will probably take 4 hrs 5hrs .

Step 2 : take a break or sleep . Now u can find excel sheet for vocab words with contains 29 groups. Start writing atleast 300 or 250 vocab words because we have to learn vocab words tomorrow. (Don’t learn vocab words today ) 1days is done .

Step 3: day 2 starts with vocab words (learn atleast 90 or 60 words) . Now we have complete verbal tasks in day 2 . Complete in 4 or 5 hrs . Because u have to learn ur mistake by watching Greg videos Which is 1hr long .

Now again repeat same steps write 250 or 300 words in one book. Tomorrow (days 3) start learning 60 or 90words again and start task with 3 quant. Days 4 verbal and so on…

(Remember within 4 or 5 days, u must complete 1000words and learn 60 words a every days from these 1000words )

Vocab words are most time consuming so writing down 250 words in a day Takes lot time but within 4days u will complete 1000words . After 4days or 5days of ur hardwork . All u have to do is practise tricks and find ur mistakes in quant and verbal. Do grag tasks in one month plan. I hope this helps u.

Don’t do this. Have you taken the diagnostic test yet? You can adjust your own study plan based on your own strengths and weaknesses shown in the diagnostic report.

2x speed watch videos, skip unnecessary questions from students in videos. Use this forum and google to clarify your personal doubts etc. Reducing prep time within 4 hours per day is ideal.

So i just saw the result of your Diagnostic test. imo you might want to switch to the 2-month plan cuz it is more comprehensive. For verbal, you gonna work very diligently on vocab foundation and reading skills implementation. Initially, you might devote over 4 hours per day to prep, then maybe after 1 month. you are able to catch up. But again, don’t drive yourself crazy, 8 hours per day for GRE is a bad plan cuz it sucks your energy and you basically have no time left for other things in your life. Chill and if possible, find a study partner who is either good at verbal or math. Consult them constantly.

I will try to implement your step-by-step guide. Thank you!

Okay, I will limit myself to 4 hours a day, maybe less. I am not trying to burn myself out fast.

I honestly haven’t gone through my strengths and weaknesses yet, but I’ll do that soon. Maybe at diagnostic day. Then, I will create my own study plan. But I know I need to learn the fundamentals first such as math concepts and vocab.

Thanks!
