Hi, so I am on day 1 of the two-month study plan and I have learnt the concepts for integers, prime numbers, multiples, and factors. My question is whenever I look at a quant problem related to these concepts and I see a big number, my mind immediately goes to oh yeah prime factor it, but I am not able to justify why we should prime factor this number nor am I able to think about what to do next after doing the prime factorization. Could someone pls help or provide any advice for this? Thanks in advance!
