In Qs 17, why can the answer not be A? The passage does say “born out the conviction that we are human, even though we try to be gods” - this supports option A.
Also, in Qs 18, I chose D. Why is It wrong? It does give a general statement initially, following by examples.
For Q17 it asks what the comic movement is optimistic towards. Like what good things do they think humans are capable of doing. This is highlighted in the last sentence “courage in reason…” so I would think the answer is E.
For Q18 the answer is in the second sentence of the passage. “seek to accentuate contradictions”.
