You can use math strategy and eliminate all but one option, which is the correct answer.
After you’ve arrived at an answer, make sure the sentence makes sense to you. In this case it means - Human beings are frail; they have a thin veil of rationality (that covers their fears and insecurities) which is easily breached.

It might help, but I personally recommend asking people to explain themselves so they have to think. Reading explanations is not sufficient to improve.
