The correct answer is (B) wrote original compositions based on folk tunes. But where is the evidence for ‘original compositions’ for Scott Joplin? And why is (C) collected and recorded abbreviated piano suites wrong?

2. The evidence for B is in line 9 through 13. He “collected” folk music and “shaped it” into songs.

What is your evidence that C is correct?
