how is “simplify” the same as underrate? please help.
What Greg is probably doing in-here is to choose a very simple word which conveys the idea that we’re downplaying its importance (that probably means that friction is a complex process) hence, Greg choose the word simplify and now he will look at the answer choice and select the word which conveys the same idea .
