Do I really need to do the essay?

Hey!

I am taking my GRE in mid-December. I do not need the essay part for my university admission, nor will I ever since none of the universities in my country require it, only the verbal and quant scores.

My question is, would it be wise to skip the essay part in order to retain a little more mental stamina, or would the essay benefit me in some other way that I have not considered? I figured that 30 minutes of fast typing could degrade my cognitive endurance in the later parts of the final sections.

What do you think?

Thanks in advance for any comments or advice!

If you absolutely don’t need it, and you confirmed this with your program then you can skip it and save your energy yeah

And the software will let me skip it before the time has run out? There seems to be conflicting information about this online

I think so, but you can ask ETS if you’re not sure
