In the answer choice, we don’t have something explicitly stating that the ONLY goal of AI is systems smarted than human, and not at the same level.
Can you help me understand what I’m missing here? Should I have interpreted the word “primary goal” to mean that the ans. choice is saying ONLY smarter than human is valid, and not at the same level?

The types of tasks include both things humans can do and things beyond our capabilities. Additionally, the goal is to have a “single system” that can handle everything we can do and everything we cannot. Think of a calculator: it must be able to do the same arithmetic that a human can, but it can also handle things no human can reasonably do (like factor a 50-digit number in seconds). To achieve its goal, it has to match and then surpass human ability. The same is true of this hypothetical AI, but on a much larger scale.
