I came across a third-party question on probability that asked -
From a bag containing 5 red balls and 7 blue balls, what is the probability of picking red balls two times?
I got confused because the question did not specify if the ball would be replaced after first draw or not. Since it is a third party question, I am not sure if ETS specifies “without replacement” (or something related) for 2 events either

Can someone please clear this for me?

Hey Ishita,
If the question doesn’t mention it, I would assume ‘without replacement’ and solve.
Regarding ETS questions, I can say this based upon the material I had gone through during my prep(BB, OG, Powerprep, PPP), that such ambiguity is very rare(almost never).
