basically about the length of the pattern of digits that repeat in the reciprocal of the integer, and comparing it with the integer -1 (it should be greater or equal to that):

1/3 = 0.333333…
repeating pattern has only 1 digit
3-1 = 2
1 < 2 … Not the ans

1/5 = 0.2
has no repeating pattern
Not the ans

1/7 = 0.142857142857…
repeating pattern has 6 digits
7-1 = 6
6=6…ans

1/9 = 0.111111111…
repeating pattern has only 1 digit
9-1 = 8
1 < 8 … Not the ans

1/11 = 0.090909…
repeating pattern has 2 digits
11-1 = 10
2 < 10 … Not the ans

The answer is 7
