Why does z equal 120? Wasn’t it supposed to be 60 as l and m are mentioned as parallel?
There are a few ways to approach this. If you think intuitively, you know each side of a line must have an angle of 180° (or else it isn’t a line). So, 120 + x = 180, x = 60°, and since l and m are parallel, y = 120°, and 60° is “left over” for the rest of that side of m. Now look at the line that intersects l and m, it also has to add up to 180° on each side, so z = 180° - 60°.

Thanks but still confusing, but I appreciate your response
Oh the z is the opposite angle of y that’s why it is 120 degree, right? Got it & thanks a lot😊
