I am unable to understand the question.
If 3r=3 then r=1
for 5+s=3 then s=-2.
Shouldn’t A be the correct option? Or Am I completely wrong?
Why is 5+s = 3? Why is 3r = r? We only have the variable “s” or the variable “r” inside the square symbols, not the whole expression. Because 5+s is odd, we know that “s” has to be even. Because 3r is odd, we know that “r” has to be odd.
This means that “square s” is equal to 6 while “square r” = 3. Hope this helps!
