The question is from the Week 1 Day 3 Video:
The not contrasts with higlight, which I understand. But if we think back to the poor/rich example, there is: poor, rich, super rich
So, I thought here that the opposite of highlight, while it could be norm or common, which are on the lower end of opposites, I thought of the higher end, so the whole story , or pinnacle, and this actually made more sense to me.
This also contrasts with the second statement. While the Foreign trips are a highlight, they are not the pinnacle. Du Bois is always travelling in the US.
Basically, the foreign trips were a nice change/highlight, but weren’t everything because he is always travelling, albeit in the United States.
