GRE quant problem --> equation set up struggle

Hey everyone! I’ve just started prepping for the GRE with the 2 month study plan. So far throughout the quant practice, I am finding that I am struggling to read the question and come up with an equation to solve it. I’m not finding too much difficulty in the math itself, but I seem to stumble when I’m setting up the equations. I follow along the videos, and so far feel as if I stare at the practice questions and feel as if I have no idea how to solve them. Then I skip ahead to see how Greg sets up the problem and have no problem finishing it out on my own.
Has anyone else struggled with this and have any tips?

Hey!

Have you tried identifying the holes in your study? Where exactly do you have a problem? Is it understanding the question or is it the equations flustering you?

So far I’m only through the integers and primes, factors and multiples, and fractions, decimals, percents and ratios. I seem to have the biggest issue identifying when to use factoring. I suppose knowing that, I should know that I need more practice in factoring problems.
