I am struggling with simplifying strategies for RC as I don’t use slang words in my daily life. Really struggling while practising this. Any suggestions on what I can do to improve?
You don’t need to use slang to simplify. Many people find it easier to use slang (which is part of their everyday speech) when simplifying/rephrasing, but if your everyday speech skews more formal, that’s fine, too.
The goal is to distill a sentence into its most essential ideas. The specific words you use to do that don’t matter (as long as they are adequate synonyms that don’t change the meaning, of course).

Thank you so much for your reply! Whatever you mentioned makes sense. I’ll try practising with more focus on essential ideas of the sentence and what it is trying to convey, rather than making it slangy.
