In the second and third blank I got the idea from greg startergies how to do it and got the answer correct , but the first blank I am not able to apply greg startergies, can anybody tell me the resoning behind “motley” being the correct answer for first blank.
@AuxilianAnthonio can you help me pls.
This is a vocab issue.
Here is the definition of motley.
Strategy: ___ hodgepodge = __ should have a word that complements ‘hodgepodge’.
hodgepodge already means variety, so it’s like saying ‘variety variety of voices’ , that is what i am confused at.
Here is a quick google search:
“Motley hodgepodge" means a jumbled, messy mixture of very different, often incongruous things, lacking order or logic, like a collection of odds and ends, diverse ideas, or clashing styles thrown together. It combines “motley” (varied, mismatched colors/elements) and “hodgepodge” (a confused mixture or medley), emphasizing the sheer variety and disorganization.
