I am unable to solve some questions in the hard level quizzes in the untimed practice. My score is usually around 11/15 in these quizzes. There are some questions i am just unable to understand how to approach even though my quant fundamentals are solid. Any advice?
Identify the exact reason why you are struggling, what in specific that the hard questions have that makes it difficult to solve.
The reasons might be,
I. The question is built around a basic concept but disguised in an unfamiliar context.
II. The problem has too many steps and you don’t know where to begin.
Rephrase the question and see if that helps. Take away the context and ask yourself “What Math concept is really being tested here”.
Work backwards from the answer choices. Revisit these problems after seeing the solution, and annotate where your thought process diverged.
Analyse your mistakes and work on mastering all the Quant strategies.
