Hey, I am practicing quant from past 1 month and now I can solve the questions but out of 100, 99% i come up with a wrong answer due to silly calculation mistakes despite following the right method. What should I do to avoid this or overcome this weakness?
I really don’t believe you about it being 99%. Can you take a test formally and then try to analyse what the mistakes are ?
Some mistakes I made recently:
- Reading too fast: Didn’t read/comprehend the question because my brain was in a rush to solve. So Hypotenuse was treated as height.
- Wrote wrong answer: Solved correctly but reported a key variable which was related to but not the answer.
- Didn’t work neatly: Not being organised can lead to transcription errors.
- Edge cases: Forgot to check for the edge cases.
the mistakes I usually do is do wrong calculations, and miscomprehend the questions (if they ask for sum or difference) and a lot more. i am so nervous I have my test in 10 days.
