So, when I was watching vocabulary video. The instructor said we should be quick and say one word or two-word definition. He also mentioned to be careful about part of speech. My question is making a sentence better than for building vocabulary. I really struggle with memorizing. Lots of time I remember the word and can use it in sentence, but I don’t know it’s synonyms
So, saying a quick 1-2 word definition helps you move along faster so you can actually review 900 words. It also forces you to say a concise definition rather than a long winded answer. Generally, if you cant give a short definition, you probably dont have a 100% grasp on the word.
Its great to know how to use a word in a sentence, but try to attach a definition as well; often you may be using the word incorrectly after all, or you only know 1 definition.
As far as synonyms, listing them out after each word is optional, but you should be able to identify synonyms when you see them together.
