How would the wording have been different if (B/2)-2=44 ?
I expected (B/2)-2=44 here.
The number of frying pans in a store is twice the number of saucepans and 2 less than half the number of bowls is 44.
The “which is” is referring to the number of bowls not to the algebraic expression (B/2) - 2.
I hope that helps!
