This question is from the “I’m Overwhelmed” Plan.
I also checked rt(x) = 11 as an answer but it’s apparently not a linear equation. Can someone please explain why? Its graph is a straight line. Thanks in advance!
Seems to be a nomenclature thing. After squaring sure it becomes x = 121 but the original equation still has an exponent of 1/2 not 1

\sqrt{x} -11 = 0 is definitely not a linear equation. If anything the left hand side is the graph of \sqrt{x} shifted down by 11 units, which isn’t linear as u might know.
