Major Indicators for Idenifying Author's Opinion

Is it fair to say that uncertainity in language, strong language, a stance being taken, a concession, and a shift are major indicators of author’s opinion?
If not, could someone please help me with a comprehensive set of indicators I could use?

Yes strong language is a sign of the author’s opinion for example I came across this passage were two people are having a conversation. It was unique because usually these types of passages include the narrator (author)’s opinion but this one had no narration so when I was asked “Who does the author hold in negative view?” I couldn’t answer it with any information from the conversation because it was just a regular conversation between 2 people but the author had named one guy “Mr. Idiot” so I assumed if the author had named this guy Mr. Idiot he must not like him and luckily I was right so yeah strong language or uncertainty in language is a strong indicator of the author’s opinion.

Hey,

The list may not be comprehensive but it is a great starting point. I am sure that the more you learn, the more you’ll add to the list.

In that case though, keep us posted. I’d love to know as well.
