Just wanted to share my experience doing the free PP1&2 exams.
PP1 (V:155, Q:149) PP2 (V:157, Q:153).
Background, I might be one of the few people that don’t come from a tech background. I currently work in consulting and I’m thinking of pursuing a degree in social sciences.
I currently just finished W2 of the 1 month plan. I am not in a rush but I’m not really interested in doing a lot of quant problems as Q158-160 is my goal. Don’t think it should be difficult with normal prep and some supplementary material.
My key pain point in verbal is the reading comprehension part. The pieces aren’t difficult by any means but feel extremely burdensome. I personally could care less about paint poisoning dolphins and it is difficult to bypass that mental block. Overall did well in the other sections.
My key pain points in the quant side is the verbosity of some of the questions and lack of practice. Was able to apply some very useful techniques especially the, fill in the answers and see that clicks technique. Though I’m not sure how I will be able to brute force my way into the correct answer using the ETS calculator.
Looking forward to finishing the 1 month plan and then hopefully supplement it with some extra material. My ideal score would be (V:162, Q:158, A: 5)
Apologies if I went off-topic but I thought I’d jot down my experience and see if you guys had any input, or had a similar experience.
Cheers!
