Hello everyone!
This is Q 17 from Tick box Quiz 14, Data Analysis Column 2.
Why can’t we solve this question using n=2?
If we assume n=2, then Total books = 5, Novels = 3, Biographies = 2, and we have only 1 possible arrangement where no two novels and no two biographies are next to each other i.e.
N B N B N, and here Novels can be arranged in 3 different ways therefore 3! And Biographies can be arranged in 2 different ways therefore 2!
So, we simply do 3! * 2! = 12
Now while eliminating the wrong answers, I got option B = option C
Where am I going wrong?
