PrepSwift: Three Equation Rules

Hi,

This is in relation to the exercises for the concept three equation rules, specifically the third question. I believe this question the equation $$ 5x^{4}=22 $$ has four solutions
$$ \sqrt[4]{ \frac{22}{5} }, -\sqrt[4]{ \frac{22}{5} }, \sqrt[4]{ \frac{22}{5} } \imath, -\sqrt[4]{ \frac{22}{5} } \imath $$

Since complex numbers haven’t been covered so far I feel that this question is a little out of place.
Thanks & Regards

It’s not going to be covered so the implicit assumption is that we’re working over \mathbb{R}.

So does this apply in the actual GRE as well. I mean do we ignore all the complex solutions?

Yeah
