Try and use the information to figure out the rate of each person from the first bit, now what would be their rate when they work together?
rate per person would be 1/5.
work together would be 100 * 1/5 = 20 proposals per hour.
converting to mins 20/60 = 1/3 proposals per minute.
as per the answer key the answer is 3. where did I go wrong?
First to second line here has some issues.
From your first line, you should have:
1 proposal = (20 proposal/ 1 hour) * (time taken for 100 people to complete one proposal)
Thus: (time taken for 100 people…) = 1/20 hour which is equivalent to 3 minutes.
