Since it is asked fraction of women attending ?
shouldn’t the resultant fraction be
2/3W/( W + M ) instead of W/(W +M ) where W → total women
and M → total men
Read carefully, it is not saying “2/3 of women are attending”, instead it is saying 2/3 of the total attending women are equal to 1/2 of the total attending men"
