Quant Flashcard Quiz #4 Question 14

In this question the answer was B meaning that b=4/3a is greater than 1.33a (Answer choice A. I’ve watched the explanation and I still do not understand how the answer isn’t C.

b=4/3a if you put 4/3 into the calculator it is 1.33. So b=4/3a is the same as 1.33a mathematically…Without calculating it, just by reading the way the question is phrased “b is one third larger than a” you can infer that it is 1.33.

I just joined Gregmat after being using TTP for awhile and in the Ratios and Percents sections on TTP I did very well but on Gregmat I’m finding that I’m struggling more which I’m not understanding…

Any help/advice is welcomed! Thanks

Simple explanation is
1.33 is not the same as 1.33333… (repeating)

4/3 is equal to 1.33333… (repeating)
