1. My question is they asked for sum of positive integer of 3 & 4, so why we are adding it with 3 and 9.

2. What does must means in this question, why we haven’t taken 45?

To be clear, they are asking to find an integer y such that, given integers a and b,

y = 3a + 4b

What does must means in this question, why we haven’t taken 45?

Must = HAS to be true. So if you can find one invalid case that fits the question, it’s out.

Why not 45? Because it does not HAVE to be 45. It COULD yes, but that is not enough. Notice the emphasis on these keywords - there’s a reason that’s the case.
