The first image shows Greg’s solution to question 7 of the Tickbox quiz #12. I tried to solve it differently while I was going through the quiz. As it mentioned about equilateral triangle, I feel that my answer is correct which is 55.36. Please review it so that I can understand if my method is accurate. Thank you.
In your figure, you’re assuming that the triangle is right-angled. This is not the case.
Can you please explain further? I still don’t understand.
How did you deduce that the longest side of the triangle you marked (i.e, 8 - 8 - 8\sqrt{2}) is 8\sqrt{2}?
