I am unable to understand this. How to make the calculation? How common are percentile questions in the test?

Can you share your thoughts on how you would approach the question? What do you think 96% of the population scored? What about the remaining 4%?

I slept on this concept and it makes sense now. 96th percentile means this group (700 score) is better than 96% of the test takers. So to get the number of people in this group (700 score), we need to calculate test takers’ 4%. Which is 55,046.32. Nearest answer is 55000
