Question regarding Easy GRE Quant Problems

I watched the solution for this quant problem after I attempted to solve the problem. My method was to use a calculator and take .99^100 power. This answer resulted in .36603234. When looking for the next whole integer, we look at the number immediately after the decimal point which is .3. Round this number up would be .37 or .38 or, most generous, .4 which is no where near 2 so, because it’s closer to zero than 1, would we choose 0? I found the way presented in the answer video to be rather time consuming (since we do have access to a calculator).

Question: What is 0.99^100 rounded to the nearest whole integer?

Rounding to the nearest whole integer could involve rounding up or rounding down.
It depends on the digit after the decimal.

For numbers, with decimals greater than 5; it would be rounded up. Else rounded down.
So, for example: 0.1, 0.25, 0.38, 0.49999 even, all are rounded down to 0.
Same way, 0.51, 0.64, 0.79, 0.999, all are rounded up to 1
(These were just random examples to explain it. It is not limited to just these few numbers)

So, in the same case, 0.37 will be rounded down to 0. (As mentioned in the question, that rounded to nearest whole integer)
