RC I Incorrect ans. marked in Official guide?

Hi! Checking if the ans. to the following RC passage is correctly marked or not-

Answer marked here is (B)- but the passage does answer this- shouldn’t the answer be (C) here?

My logic: I selected (D) here based on eliminating all the other options.

The correct answer is stated that (E), but I eliminated it because of the word “flawed”- I understood that the first theory is there, but is inadequate- we nowhere know if the theory itself is flawed or not.

Can you please help me understand this?

Yeah, it seems they mixed up the letters, I think its supposed to be C:

The fact that it cant explain why the moon’s iron core is so small itself is a flaw.

For D, the passage is not discussing how the theories are similar.
