Should I assume the diagram is to scale always even if not given

Consider the following diagram,

Now the Question is
QA: s,
QB: 90 degrees

By theory, the answer is cannot be determined => D
By diagram, the answer is B (s<90 since obviously acute)

I find I get confused on whether a geometry question should always assume it is to scale. But it seems like a dangerous assumption

We cannot make assumptions by looking at the figure.
Just focus on the data given, as it is saying L1 || L2, then the line cutting them is the transversal.
And thus, s = 180-r, or s+r = 180,
We can’t say anything about s or r, just that they form a supplementary angle pair
