In this question, how are we sure that the nomenclature is imprecise, there is no evidence as such? Shouldn’t the answer choice d be considered here? Thanks in advanced for helping me solve this.
The first part of the sentence states - ‘scientists have difficulty with stereochemistry’, followed by a ‘because’. This means that the first blank should support the previous sentence. Now if many scientists have difficulty in understanding something, ‘imprecise’ or ‘unclear’ fits correctly rather than ‘descriptive’ which means detailed. Even obscure could fit well but that’s where the second blank comes in. ‘in that it combines…’ means its combining something that should be kept separate rather than ’ interrelated’ which means already related. Hence, ‘E’ fits the best. Let me know if you understand.
