I am unable to understand how can we determine if this data is normally distributed? The approach that I was going for was to find the mean and symmetry around it but in the video, Greg said if most of the values lie in the middle that means it is a normal distribution. In the picture below, it seems to me that the first band from 6.0 to 5.0 has most of the bigger values so how could this be normally distributed?

I wouldn’t worry about this one, I agree with you as well. I didn’t get this when I was studying either.

This is more of “does this look normal”? And it is. Is it exactly normal? No. This was meant to be a “explain why or why not” question, and hence we did not focus too much on the “exactness” here.

Put it this way: if you were to say “no”, we wouldn’t immediately say “wrong answer”.
