Can anyone please help me to find out the blanks using math strategy?

I started with solving the (ii) blank. Here I thought and is the separator. Now the first part is telling me about obscurity, so I select unclear for the (ii) blank. Since I don’t see any contrast word for (i) black I goes with obscure. So, I thought the answer will be A but I was wrong. Can anyone please help me here I am wrong?

Individual : _______(blank i):: combined :obscure → so, a good guess will be explicit or clear

Now, if a thought is obscure then it is hard to express/communicate.

Answer that matched both our guesses : (E)precise… communicable

Hey, thanks for the reply. I think, I understand your answer for blank (ii) but for blank (i), it will be a great help for me if you explain it a little bit. I thought the : and :: both are the supports so I thought the meaning is obscure for (i) blank.

the other clue for blank(i) is meaning specified in the dictionary - It means they have a clear-cut definition.

Isn’t it possible that the meanings specify in the dictionary is obscure since it also supports (i)blank,…,obscure.
Is it possible that the first word “how could” is setting contrast between Individual…blank(i), combine, obscure. Then the blank (i) would be opposite of obscure indicating the correct answer E

No

Then where is the contrast word for blank(i) that indicate opposite of obscure?

Blank(i) is a support, if we go by this or we can use block of 4 like this.

Specified in a dictionary
