Tickbox quiz 3

I was little confused on the question 28 and 30, can you please explain what i could have done wrong? Because i know for 28, 6/94 is 6% right? So, the ans should have been C? And I was confuse on how to get a value for C in 30. I would appreciate your explannation.

What’s the question itself?

This is the 28
The price of a certain item is increased from $94 to $100. And it is asking which quantities is bigger. Quan A: the percent increase of the price Quan B: 6%

This is 30 a is 300% of b. c is 250% more than a. c is what percent larger than b?
I was confused on finding the value for C.

No - how did you find the percentage increase?

What is a and b?

I did 6 divided by 94 and it is 0.063, isn’t it 6% also?

And I was actually confused on how to find a and b as well?

6% is not 6.3%.

Let b = 1. What is a?

so a would be 3?

Correct. Find c. Then you can find the percentage increase.

can you please explain how would i find c? I am still a bit confused

And with the 6.3%, you are not supposed to be round it right? I think I was confused because I thought you had to round.

a = 1 \rightarrow b = 3 \rightarrow c = 3 \times 3.5 = 10.5 (recall the difference between a percentage change and percentage increase)

And unless indicated, you should not round.

Hi! I’m stuck on this very last bit too - why is the answer 950%, not 1050%?

See my last response - this is key.
