I was very confused with the answer solution given in the video for this question (not the answer itself), especially the discriminant part,
I was able to resolve my doubt by going back and forth with chatgpt, and I found what it mentioned to be helpful. I can see a few others had similar doubts across this forum on how it was solved. So, I would like to post what helped me to understand the solution better, and if you feel it’s useful, please edit the solution video as it would help students with similar doubts, else if you feel the solution in the video correctly answers this, feel free to ignore it.
