Vocab Advice on Revision

I have been studying GregMat wordlist for 3, 4 months (for the last 20 days, I’ve been revising 18 groups per day) and I can recall meaning of each word with more than 95% accuracy rate, the word I got wrong is mostly because of boredom. I am really bored with this and it eats up my 2 hours on a daily basis. I have been thinking of revising only once a week? Or Since I am nonnative speaker should I focus on synonyms? Or focus more on strategies, I feel like this is the right thing to do since I am not completely adapt on it but I’m afraid of forgetting. Any advice on this?

Well done!

If it’s eating up too much of your time, you can try this alternate strategy for the vocab mountain:

Study a group, Review 5, Review up to 4 more

Once you get to group 20, do the following each day:

  1. Study Group 21, Review 1 to 5
  2. Study group 22, review 6 to 10, 21
  3. Study 23, Review 11 to 15, 21, 22
  4. Study 24, Review 16 to 20, 21, 22, 23
  5. Study 25, Review 1 to 5, 21, 22, 23, 24

Hopefully you get the pattern. You study 1 new group and then review up to 9 more. This should reduce the time you spend on vocab (of course with an expected drop in accuracy) but you can have more time working on strategies. At 18 groups in, that would be a smarter investment of your time.

Excuse me for not mentioning that I have studied all the groups. I know all 34 groups. I appreciate your time in replying. What would you advise then?"
