Vocabulary while doing Big Book Questions

Hi, I’m on week 3 of the 2 month plan and I’m starting to solve more big book questions, as per the study guide. When I run into vocabulary I don’t know, and it’s important to solving the question, what should I do? I got the idea that the emphasis should be on practicing the methods, like MATH strategy or pairing, but I can’t effectively apply it in these cases. I’ve been following this order.

  1. Doing my answer best without the vocabulary
  2. Looking up the vocab, and then reanswering the question.
Is this the best way to approach it? Or should I focus on practice without knowing the vocabulary?

You’re on the right track. What you are doing builds both strategy and vocab without losing focus on the method.
