Week 3 Day 1: Lines and Angles|| 42 minute's problem

<------x—0—y—z-------->

On the number line shown above, the tick marks are equally spaced. Which of the following statements about the numbers x, y and z must be true?

A. xyz <0
B. x+z = y
C. z(y-x) > 0
Greg said all three are tru but if you go with fractions eg. x= -1/2, y= 1/2, z=1/4,
the B can not be true as x+z= -1/2 + 1/4 = -1/4 which does not equal to y=1/2

Am I missing something? Thanks

If they are equally spaced then z would be 1, when x = -1/2 and y = 1/2
y - 0 = 1/2 - 0 =1/2
0 - x = 0 - -1/2 = 1/2
z - y = 1/2
z - 1/2 = 1/2
x = 1/2 + 1/2 = 1

Understood, and thank you
