What should be my plan to score 330 in next 20 days?

Hi Greg,

I’ve been studying for the GRE since the end of April (after taking an ETS mock and scoring 312), using the 1-month plan alongside my 9-to-5 job. So far, I’ve completed almost all of the foundational quant quizzes (+prepswift videos) with an average of 80% or higher, memorized 27 vocab groups, and gone through all of the ETS Verbal Prep videos along with the homework. I may have skipped a few optional SE/TC quizes here and there just to keep moving through the course.

At the beginning of June, I scored 325 (164Q, 161V) on GregMat Practice Test 1. A couple of days ago, I scored 320 (164Q, 156V). My quant mistakes in the latest mock were mostly due to time pressure, misreading questions, and calculation errors rather than conceptual gaps.

On the verbal side, inference questions in RC have been my biggest weakness. I can usually narrow the answer down to two choices but often pick the wrong one. I’m working on improving that. A few TC mistakes also came from not fully understanding the meaning of certain words in the context of the sentence.

I’m planning to take the GRE on 26th July. The only thing making me anxious is my previous test-center experience. The last exam I took at a center was the GMAT in December, where I performed badly. To be fair, I wasn’t prepared and had barely taken any mocks, but that experience still lingers in the back of my mind.

Given where I currently stand, what would you recommend as my game plan for the next 18 to 20 days? I can consistently study 3 to 4 hours on weekdays after work and around 6 hours on weekends. I also plan to buy Official mocks 2 and 3, but since those mocks are expensive, I want to make sure I’m using them in the most effective way.

My target score is 327+, and I genuinely believe it’s achievable. I’m trying to build a routine that closely mimics exam-day conditions. I’d really appreciate a realistic strategy that gives me the best chance of reaching my target while helping me go into the exam feeling calm and confident.

Hi,

I gave a random 30 word quiz for Days1-27 as these were the days I had memorized till now and in it, I scored 26/30. Below are my scores for the quant quizzes.

I can see algebra and coordinate as my weak points here.

In addition to the analysis of the above, I would appreciate some advice on these 2 things:

- How to improve/perform well on RC (specifically inference questions)

- How to schedule mocks till the day of the exam. I want to build momentum as currently speed is an issue. Fo reference, I plan to take free gregmat 3 and manhattan mock in the next 5-7 days. Have also bought ETS Powerprep Plus mocks 2 and 3.

Foundation is pretty strong in most areas, except algebra and coordinate geometry. I recommend going through the relevant modules in the I’m Overwhelmed Plan to close those gaps.

After doing so, I recommend working on strategies and not immediately going to problem-solving. You can follow the strategy series here: Course - GregMat

Thanks for the advice on quant.

I completed memorizing 30 word groups till yesterday. Today, I scored a 31/37 on the above SE Quiz.

I would appreciate some advice on when to give the mocks (Gregmat 3; Manhattan Free; and ETS Paid versions 2 & 3. My exam is on 26th Morning 10 am. A breakdown of to dos would be great for days before the exam. Thanks in advance.
