You CAN do it! Don't give up!

I wanted to apply to PhD programs that still require GRE and require high Quant scores. Math was never my strong suit, I was Econ and Polisci undergrad but Econ undergrad didn’t require heavy math. I have also been out of school for a few years.

I started studying last January and sat the GRE last September for a 155Q and 160V (verbal is my strong suit without much prep). Not good enough Quant. I began eating sleeping breathing etc GRE. I probably dumped 500+ hours into my studying, did everything I could find on the Gregmat website plus a few other prep company practice tests. Constantly facing lots of self doubt around the process. Very stressful.

Sat the test two weeks ago - 170Q, 163V. You CAN do it. Do not doubt yourself, don’t listen to people on Reddit shedding doubt on your abilities. You can and will accomplish whatever you set your mind to. I didn’t know if I could do it, and I was wrong. Do not give up.

Thank you to Greg, the tutors, and everything who answered my quant questions here on the forums. You are doing amazing stuff!
