Hi GregMat+ community,
I’m looking for some strategic advice on how to make the final push in Quant.
I took the official GRE on July 28th, and my score was:
320 - 165Q, 155V
These are my mock scores:
- PowerPrep 1 (4th July) : 329 (Q166, V163)
- ETS Guide Test 1 (12th July) : 328 (Q170, V158)
- PP+1 (19th July) : 318 (Q167, V151)
- ETS Guide Test 2 (20th July) : 313 (Q161, V152)
- PP+2 (24th July): 319 (Q168, V151)
I have also noticed that the quant has gotten tougher than the above tests, especially for the 2nd section.
I’m retaking the test on August 24th with the specific goal of raising my Quant score to a 169 or 170.
I have not received the report yet, so I cannot analyze where I went wrong.
I had been through Prepswift quant earlier when I was preparing. To test my foundation again I took the Prepswift foundational quizzes and the following are my scores:
Arithmetic: 25/25 - 100%
Algebra: 19/19 - 100%
Coordinate geometry: 14/15 - 93.33%
Geometry: 14/15 - 93.33%
Data Analysis: 15/15 - 100%
My question for the community, especially for those who have made a similar jump, is:
- How would you recommend I spend the next ~3.5 weeks? What should my study plan look like?
- What is the most effective way to identify and eliminate these specific types of errors?
- For practice, what material should I use? Gregmat or the 5lb?
Any insights on mindset, strategy, or specific practice routines for breaking into the top Q169-170 bracket would be incredibly helpful.
Thanks in advance!
