In the above HW problem, Greg says we should look for the opposite of rude to solve the problem.

But, doesn’t the sentence say impossibly rude, which means polite, so, shouldn’t we look for the opposite of polite?

Here “impossibly” is used in a way to show something is ridiculously extreme. Like, incredibly rude.
