5Lb book p 600

Hi, everyone!

I have problem with thefollowing question:
The average of seven distinct integers is 12, and the least of these integers is -15.
A B
The maximum possible value of the greatest of these integers 84

I got the answer D, but the answer in the book is A. I got three instances where the greatest number differs.
What do you think?

The question asked about what is the maximum possible value you can get (So, it will have only one answer)

Give : Total number of items = 7 and average = 12, minimum = -15

So, we can find the sum = 84

To find : Maximum

Now the minimum number (or our starting point) is -15 and this is the first number in our set of 7 integers . Now, to maximize the 7th number in our set , we have to choose first 6 numbers like (-15,-14,-13,-12,-11 and -10), so -75 + 7th number = 84 or 7th number = 75+84
