I just watched and did the practice quiz for the PrepSwift “Adding Numbers to Multiples” section. The third question states
a is a positive integer
Quantity A - The number of factors of a
Quantity B - The number of factors of 2a
Originally, I thought B was greater since 2a would include the factors of a and 2a. However, this wasn’t the case if a = 1. Then a and 2a would both only have two factors, making me think the answer was D. However, like in my original thought process the answer was B. Does the situation with 1 not matter in this case and am I thinking about it wrong? Any thoughts or input is much appreciated.
