Hi everyone, I hope all of you are doing fine. An amazing community built here, all thanks to Greg!! Huge shoutout!!
I will have my GRE exam on 18th april. My target score is 310+. Currently, following the one month plan- In week1, going to give diagnostic test PP1 this week. Also, I am also working. So , balancing prep with work.
Since the time is limited and the content is vast, looking to have insights about the most crucial areas for scoring and the ones which are “easy money”- in Greg’s words haha. Not aiming for a very high score like 325+. To get into my target programs and considering my overall profile, a score above 310 will do the trick for me.
I will be a big help for me if anyone who is well versed with gregMat forum and has good experience on the GRE, can help me target specific sections in the content, and build a good plan to meet my scores.
My 2 cents comment -
I guess, considered your target score, the chosen plan is correct. I felt the content under 2-month plan is little deep and is for someone who has time and aims to get more. So, 1-month plan looks apt for your situation.
For Quant - Greg always stresses, data analysis is key and if you want to spend little extra time there for your ‘easy money’.
And for Verbal - Since about half the questions are RC (Reading comprehension), work on the OG (official guide) samples first; followed by Big Book (Old GRE 27 tests compilation from ETS).
Off Couse, these suggestions are just based on time and score target you have mentioned. There’s tons (some 700+ Hrs.?) of material on Gregmat.com to study, based on your capacity and strategy.
Hi, So I gave the PP1 test today. Here are my scores- 162 Q, 141 V ( 303 Total ). I have 21 days for the test. How can I prioritize to get the 310+ zone? After the diagnostic test, i realized that vocab needs to be worked upon very much and major focus has to be on the verbal area from now on.
First, congratulations on the Quant score. Try to keep that and if possible try improving on Test day. Just a caution, test day can be a different environment and procedures & pressure might affect.
For the Verbal, I am not sure, I can suggest anything specific. But I am going through this and found very useful. I had many misconceptions/misunderstanding and it is helping. Did you check this earlier - Reading - GregMat
Hi Aarpi, No I haven’t seen this page before. How is it?
I actually need a plan for upcoming 20 days as my exam will be on 18th April. Also, I am working too. So we can assume 3 hrs per day for gre prep. I am planning to focus on verbal mainly .
So will need a pretty well planned out approach. Can we connect on WA Aarpi ?
